If your Access Bank account is compromised due to a stolen ATM card or a lost phone with your USSD banking number, it’s crucial to block or deactivate it right away. Once your Access Bank account is blocked, all transactions, including transfers and debits, will be temporarily stopped.
One way to block or unblock your Access Bank account is to call the Access Bank Customer Interaction Centre on 07003000000, 01-2802500, 01-2712005-7, or visit any GTB branch near you.

How to Block Access Bank Account
You can block your Access bank account number or even ATM card by using the USSD code for blocking account on Access bank, otherwise, you’ll have to visit an Access bank branch:
Here’s how to block your Access Bank account using the USSD code:
- Dial *901*11# using any phone number (It doesn’t have to be yours).
- Then just follow the instructions displayed and provide the information requested (like your account number and the phone number you used in registering your Access bank account).
- Finally, finish blocking your Access bank account by providing your USSD PIN.
Note: Once you’ve blocked your Access bank account, you won’t be able to perform transactions on it. You will need to visit an Access bank branch if you want to unblock the bank account.

How to Block Access Bank Account Online
There’s no current way for you to block your access bank account online. The only current way to block an Access bank account is via USSD code; *901*911#
Alternatively, you can visit an Access bank branch and fill out a block/unblock request form or call the bank’s customer care service on these numbers: 07003000000, 01-2802500, 01-2712005-7 and listen for the self-service option.

How To Block Your Access Bank ATM Card
Once you feel that your Access bank ATM Card has been compromised, you must try to instantly block the card or your funds might be in danger.
You can block your Access bank ATM card by using the USSD method we just mentioned above. You can either use the Access Bank mobile app or Internet banking to block your compromised ATM Card.
However to use either the App or Internet banking you’ll need to have your Access Bank “Username and Password”, and Authentication PIN or an Access Bank Token.

How to Block Your Access Bank ATM Card with Access Bank’s Mobile App
If for some reason you can’t use the USSD code to block your Access bank ATM card, here’s how to block your Access bank ATM Card using the bank;s mobile app:
- Open Up the Access Bank mobile app (download it if you don’t have it)
- Sign in to the app by “Login” with your Username and Password
- Then navigate to “Cards & Cheques” and Select it,
- Next, Select “Manage Cards”
- Then Click “Block”
- Finally, input your PIN/token to block your Access Bank ATM card immediately.
Note: The process of blocking your Access bank ATM card using the mobile app is the same way you use Internet banking.

Can I Unblock My Access Bank ATM?
Yes, you can unblock your Access Bank ATM after unblocking it. To do this, you have to visit an Access bank branch and fill out an ATM unblocking form
