Visa Free Vs. Visa on Arrival Vs E-Visa

Visa Free (VF) means you can enter a foreign country without a visa, from any legal border crossing and by any means. But usually for a particular amount of time. Fortunately, some countries may not require a visa regardless of how long you stay. When going to a visa-free country, there’s no need to pay for a visa. You also don’t have to fill out lengthy application forms or provide additional documentation. You can decide on travelling to a visa-free country at any time, without needing to plan days or weeks in advance.

Visa on arrival (VOA) means you can travel to a destination country, and on arrival, apply and pay for a visa at a visa counter. The visa is then pasted into your passport before you go to immigration. However, Visa on arrival is often limited to certain entry points (eg. international airports, major land borders).

E-visa (EV) or electronic visa, is a visa that is stored in a computer database. There’s no stamp or label placed on your passport. The eVisa is linked to the individual’s passport number and shows up on the immigration’s computer. Applications for E-Visas are done over the Internet. The applicant also receives a paper document to present while travelling.

It is important to remember that These visas (VF, VOA, EV) do not entitle the holder to work or engage in any business activities in the host country.
